Bitwarden

Open-source password manager with an unlimited free plan.

Free planiPhoneAndroidMacWindowsLinuxWeb

Our verdict

The best value in the category. The free plan has no device limit, the code is open source and audited, and the family plan is cheap. The apps are plainer than 1Password's.

Good
  • Free plan with unlimited devices
  • Open source and independently audited
  • Affordable family plan
Not so good
  • Plainer design
  • Sharing takes a few more taps
